I know this not related directly to Linux but someone might have dealt with before who is working in the IT department. So, we have a package, a laptop to be specific shipped for our US HQ office to Indian office via UPS. It is a brand new laptop. It is stuck in UPS:
Your package is being delayed due to the processing involved with handling lithium batteries.
Does anyone know what it means?
I am not sure about this. Typically vendor such as Dell, HP, IBM and local vendors handles all logistics for us. In some cases we have 4 hours SLA or next biz day to replace all failed parts. A quick Google search indicate that typically they change packaging to process your package. They have a pdf guide too https://www.ups.com/vc/en/help-center/packaging-and-supplies/special-care-shipments/batteries.page
Last option is to call customer care and see how they can help. Good luck and keep us updated.
yes, we got the laptop after delay. turns out they do some sort of packaging.
