Sshfs mount intermittently failing - how to troubleshoot?

Hello,

I have two Ubuntu systems (Jammy) where sshfs mounts intermittently stop working.

I can temporarily resolve the issue by restarting the “server”.

I figure there has to either be some system logging somewhere, or logging that I can enable within sshfs, but I haven’t been able to work out the right search terms to use with Google.

Would appreciate some advice

Try the following on your server to see ssh server log:

sudo journalctl -u ssh.service

On your ssh client side, see log info using the dmesg or other files in /var/log/ directory (managed by syslogd or rsyslogd)
