I am a new CentOS 7 Linux desktop user. I need to use Nvidia software for my video editing software and other purposes. How do I install the Nvidia driver on CentOS 7 Linux?
While searching for a working driver for CentOS7 / RHEL 7 as well, I came across this page: https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads?target_os=Linux&target_arch=x86_64&target_distro=RHEL&target_version=7&target_type=rpmnetwork
It offers a repo file and a rpm for the NVidia driver (however not the very latest one).
Hope that helps to easy the process a little bit.
Cheers
Oliver
I installed nvidia drivers for use with davinci resolve.it only opened the introduction part and settings and ever since it does not open.it doesnt load.
Did you followed my guide as described here https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-install-nvidia-driver-on-centos-7-linux/?
Try updating everything and reboot. In bios make sure Nvidia is default card and not the Intel one.
