How do tell the dig command to hide CNAME and only show the IP address

I wanna hide CNAME entries displayed when I run dig +short help.salesforce.com command. I just wanna see IPv4 or IPv6 assigned. How can I do that? Right now, it shows

dig +short help.salesforce.com

It did spit out unwanted text such as those DNS CNAME records:

help.salesforce.com.00d30000000xsfgeas.live.siteforce.com.
sdc.prod.communities.salesforce.cdn.edgekey.net.
e78038.dsca.akamaiedge.net.
96.17.150.170
96.17.150.131

How can I hide help.salesforce.com.00d30000000xsfgeas.live.siteforce.com and sdc.prod.communities.salesforce.cdn.edgekey.net.? What option do I use to hide CNAME entries?

Try using the grep command with dig command as follows to only print the IP address:

dig +short help.salesforce.com | grep "^[[:digit:]]"
## OR ##
dig +short help.salesforce.com | grep -v '\.$'
dig +short A help.salesforce.com | grep -v '\.$'
dig +short A help.salesforce.com @1.1.1.1 | grep -v '\.$'

Here is how the dig command only return the IP from a CNAME record:
