Extend Root Partition In Ubuntu Server

Hello,
Am currently on a production server, As you can see the root file system is full, And another storage has been added to it, But the issue this server is running Ubuntu 14 without LVM, The / partition doesn’t have LVM, How do I extend the root partition, Thanks

Not possible without LVM. The only option is to backup all data. Install a new disk and OS. Restore data.

Is there a way to add that / root partition into LVM? Without causing issue to the data, so that I can pvscan, add it to an LV Group? May be with fdisk or another way,
